i’ve been to obergurgl for the first time on saturday to ski with one of my favorite girls – margaretha. we did our level two qualification (landeslehrer) together last year and were lucky enough to share a room together from the first day. we both love skiing from the bottom of our heart and that’s why I enjoy seeing and skiing with that girl so much <3. i finished working in my skischool on friday and drove to obergurgl afterwards. after dinner and a few drinks we went to bed early. saturday morning was promising – blue sky and sunshine. the perfect conditions on the mountain made it easy for us to drive up early. after a quick stop to fill up fuel and grab a coffee, we made it to the top. obergurgl is a beautiful ski resort and I enjoyed skiing for myself and with friends instead of guests for a change. some real turns instead of stem christies and some real conversation instead of the daily ‘do you need to go to the toilet?`. haha. that was my last day skiing of the season. so this ‘skiing’ blog will show you a lot of my preparation for the upcoming winter, where I have an important exam to pass. i hope everyone stays tuned. if you like the pictures please follow and share… xo
This is my first blog. I'm really excited but also nervous if you guys will like it. First and foremost I want to write about my experiences as a ski instructor in Austria and also about new products I get to test - mainly HEAD skies and gear. But also about (ski)fashion, travelling, surfing and whatever else will come to my mind.
so it's actually been like forever since I wrote the last time. i'm still not giving up on my blog and wanna let you guys know about my last two hiking trips. the first one was last month and we started really early in the morning. getting up at 4am to hike for 5 hours and to know that you have to work straight after needs a lot of motivation. but I wanted to do this trip in summer so badly that i was actually pretty easy to get up. so we started off with the car and drove as far as possible on the street leading into the beautiful 'urgtal' valley. the hike started absolutely beautiful and flat (easy to walk!). after one and a half hours, the path got steeper and we walked up the mountain towards the two 'spinn' lakes. for someone -like me- who is not used to hike, especially uphill it was quite exhausting. but the silence and view outweigh for a lot of pain in your legs ;-)! You get an impression of it in the pictures. but it's just not the same to just be there. the second hike was actually a really quick run uphill towards the next hut on the mountain. not even one hour. but since we already started in 1960m we still got a very beautiful view and amazing sunset to see. we rewarded ourself with a beautiful dinner on 2200m above sea level and decided spontaneously to stay and walk back in the morning. those little hikes make you stay tuned and are the best after a long day at work to get some time off with good friends and enjoy life :-)! |
