you may have seen on instagram that i started a low carb, low sugar, high proteine diet for at least ten days on saturday. as everyboday should know: that only works if you do some sports as well. so additional to my (almost) daily running i wanted to do a little workout for my muscles everyday as well. i found the '7min Workout' app in my app store and downloaded it. here is what i think about it:
first of all: I LOVE IT!
you can download the app for free - but there is several upgrades you can/ have to purchase. i bought the premium version after 2 days for 2,99€ because i think its great! the normal workout works perfectly without the upgrade though! :)
When you open the app you have your navigation on the bottom. there is _workout log, _reminders, _workout, _info and _settings.
in your personal _workout log all your workouts are saved in a calender. thats pretty good for your own motivation!
with the _reminder you can set up a reminder for your workout for whatever time on whatever day of the week. good for all the lazy workers, who need to be reminded ;-)!
there is three different _workouts to choose from!
1_ the 7 minute workout
2_ alternative workout
3_ advanced workout
every workout includes 12 different exercises. you spend 30 seconds on every exercise. between the exercises you rest for 10 seconds and you can prepare for the next one. during the exercise you have a count down on 20, 15, 10 and the last 5 seconds. the app lets you know what to get ready for next and also shows it to you with a graphic. its a very pleasant voice and the 'GO' before every exercise is really motivating! (it actually is!!!)
you dont need nothing more then a chair or steps. so you can do it at home, at work or even in your holidays. no excuses! everyone of us got 7 minutes a day for a workout. a little less candy crush or facebook or whats app on your phone give you those 7 minutes easily! just don't stop checking on my instagram and blog :)!!!
best is: you can adjust the intervals. so choose the exercise time (30 | 45 | 60) and the rest time (10 | 15 | 20) and the number of cycles you want to do (1 | 2 | 3)!
if you click on the exercise they are all explained in a video (linked to youtube) or a detailed description. you should definately check out a few videos before you start with your workout!
in _settings you can manage the order of the workouts, the audio volume and also choose if you want a tick sound every second and the count down cues. also you can onnect the app to your iphone health app and track your calories. and: you can turn the ads off! perfect!
conclusion:
get the app and start your daily workout!
the only thing missing (i let them know!) for me is that you can't put your own 7 minute workout together. It would be great to be able to choose from the exercises and give your own individual training your own name. Best would be if you get a little help so you choose exercises for every part of your body and not only your legs for example...
